A small demonstration unit is pictured here to
give an overview of the FastExit Security Bar release. (1)
In the closed position, a steel roller prevents the bars
from being forced open by burglars and thieves. The flexible steel
cable withstands over 4,000 lbs. of force and also offers
forgiveness of mis-alignment due to house settling or installation.
(2) Once the handle is depressed or the optional
thermo bulb is deployed, the top slide moves rearward allowing the
steel roller to move upward within it's housing and the cable slide
is allowed to move as the bars open. (3) As the
bars swing open, the slide moves out the tube, the steel roller
rests within its housing. (4) Once the release handle is depressed on the wall, it will move toward the wall and stay there. Our patented release prevents the bars from accidentally relocking. It does not require simultaneous double actions of opening the bars and depressing the handle. This is an important feature during a stressful situation
