The flexible steel cable has been tested to withstand over 4,000 lbs. of direct force.(2) A unique feature of
the flexible cable and tube assembly is that it offers
forgiveness of mis-alignment due to house settling or improper
installation. It can be retrofitted to fit existing windows by
simply bolting directly onto most manufacturer's window bars.

The hex-head bolts are slightly drilled out after installation to prevent easy removal by thieves and burglars.
